Brian Callahan and Brian Daboll are pulling a complete switcheroo.
The Giants hired the former Titans head coach Callahan on Wednesday to be their pass-game coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Jaxson Dart, The Post confirmed. The move comes only a couple of weeks after the Titans hired the former Giants head coach Daboll to be their offensive coordinator for Cam Ward.

tRY IT NOWJust 10 months ago, Callahan and Daboll were the only head coaches to select quarterbacks in the first round of the 2025 draft. Then they became the only two head coaches fired during the season.
Now they could help each other by swapping all their team-issued gear along with their quarterback knowledge.
Callahan, 41, joins former Chiefs offensive coordinator and Bears head coach Matt Nagy (offensive coordinator) and Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman (senior offensive assistant) on John Harbaugh’s first Giants staff. He has never worked with Nagy, Roman or Harbaugh.
The Giants have surrounded Dart with three quarterback gurus whose résumés include time working with Peyton Manning, Joe Burrow, Matthew Stafford, Justin Herbert, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Derek Carr and Alex Smith. Quarterback lists don’t get much better.

Callahan was tapped to be Titans head coach in 2024 but was fired after a 4-19 record by a different general manager than the one who hired him. He previously was Bengals non-play-calling offensive coordinator for five seasons, Lions quarterbacks coach, Raiders quarterbacks coach and a young assistant with the Broncos.
Callahan interviewed for the Giants offensive coordinator job that went to Nagy.
Harbaugh’s offensive staff includes two former college head coaches in offensive line coach Mike Bloomgren and running backs coach Willie Taggart in addition to Nagy, Roman, Callahan and tight ends coach Tim Kelly, who was Dart’s interim offensive coordinator at the end of last season.
The Titans managed just 85 points through six games before Callahan’s firing last season. He started off calling plays but handed off the responsibility to Bo Hardegree as a last-ditch effort to save his job.
Callahan’s offense ranked No. 27 in scoring in 2024 with Mason Rudolph and Will Levis under center.
The Giants did not get a package deal with Callahan’s father, Bill, who is the former Raiders head coach and one of the NFL’s most respected offensive coaches. Callahan joined the Falcons after working under his son’s stewardship in Tennessee.
“I owe Cally a lot,” Burrow said in 2024. “He helped me improve my game, how I approach the game, how I think about football.”
