“We’re not decided on that yet, he’s not quite decided on that yet,’’ coach John Harbaugh said Saturday after the Giants selected three players to complete their 2026 draft class. “I think we just have to kind of see where we’re at this next week.’’
The Giants last week had Beckham in for a workout and a physical, and by all accounts, he put a strong showing on the field. The Giants added one wide receiver in the draft, trading up into the third round on Friday to get Notre Dame’s Malachi Fields.
Harbaugh is quite familiar with Beckham, who played for the Ravens in 2023. In 14 games, Beckham had 35 receptions for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
Beckham, 33, was out of the league in 2025 and was suspended six games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
“We worked him out, he looked good, we just got to kinda continue the conversations with him,’’ Harbaugh said. “I really like him. Odell and I talked Tuesday night to see where he’s at, see where we’re at, see what he’s thinking, see what we’re thinking with the roster and see if it makes sense.
“I think if we do anything, just being honest about it, it has to make sense for the Giants, it has to make sense for him. He’s in a different place in his career, for sure.’’
Beckham spent the first five years of his NFL career with the Giants, developing into a superstar player with an aura that at times overshadowed his play on the field.

He won a Super Bowl as a complementary player for the Rams after the 2021 season.
“The thing I love about Odell is he’s in such a good place in terms of his humility, he wants to be part of a team, he wants to contribute, he wants to help the young guys, that’s what he talks about doing,’’ Harbaugh said. “He still thinks he has some juice and he looked good in the workouts.
“He’s still got to be able to play. It’s not going to be the old Odell, it’s gonna be a different version, 2.0 I guess you’d say.”
The Giants are fairly well-stocked at the receiver position, with Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton and Isaiah Hodgins returning, Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin III signed in free agency and Fields arriving via the draft.
If the Giants take a shot on Beckham, it would likely be a one-year deal for veteran minimum money.
The Giants selected one DT in the draft, getting Bobby Jamison-Travis in the sixth round.

“We’ve been in contact with several agents of veteran defensive tackles,’’ general manager Joe Schoen said. “We’ll see what happens next week, maybe have some more visits. It’s certainly on our radar.’’
