The Giants fell to 0-3 after losing, 22-9, to the Chiefs Sunday night at Metlife Stadium.

Russell Wilson came crashing back down to earth, Malik Nabers was nearly invisible and the Giants defense couldn’t get key stops down the stretch.

Graham Gano’s groin injury also meant the Giants pretty much played without a kicker.

Daboll understand booes, but won't say who starts for Giants in Week 4

By Christian Arnold

Brian Daboll didn't blame the fans at MetLife Stadium for booing the Giants offense during their loss to the Chiefs.

"I'd be booing too, to be honest with you," Daboll said. "In terms of not being good enough, not scoring not finishing. I understand that. That's the nature of it."

Russell Wilson struggles mightily as Giants drop to 0-3 after hanging with Chiefs

By Ryan Dunleavy

In this battle of two winless NFL teams, most certainly would have viewed the Giants as less likely to avoid the dreaded 0-3 start.

They would have been correct.

After hanging with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs for much of the first half, the Giants ultimately fell short yet again in a dreary 22-9 loss Sunday night in their home opener before an already-restless crowd at MetLife Stadium.

Touchdowns were a rarity in the first half of the game, but three field goals -- including one to end the half -- have put the Chiefs ahead 9-6 heading into halftime.

The Giants didn't help their cause when Andru Phillips was called for a pass interference in the closing seconds of the game, putting the Chiefs in field position to kick the field goal.

For the second time in the game, Russell Wilson threw an interception.

This time he underthrew Malik Nabers in the end zone, which would have given the Giants their first lead of the game right ahead of halftime.

Fans could be heard chanting "We Want Dart" -- referring to rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.
