The Jets’ ability to generate points already took a hit Monday when Aaron Rodgers tore his left Achilles, and now, they might have a kicking problem, too.

Greg Zuerlein didn’t practice Friday due a groin injury suffered in practice Thursday, according to head coach Robert Saleh, and he’s “50/50” for their game Sunday against the Cowboys. He wasn’t listed on the injury report Thursday since the details weren’t known until after the report had been finalized.

The Jets worked out kickers Austin Seibert, Caleb Shudak and Matthew Wright, as well as punter Ty Long, according to NFL Network.

Shudak appeared in one game last season with the Titans. Wright served as the Jaguars’ kicker in 2021 and played in a combined six games last season with the Chiefs and Steelers. Seibert was the Browns’ kicker in 2019, but hasn’t logged more than six games in a season since.

Long last appeared in a game with the Chargers in 2021.

He also has been a kicker, most recently when he took over for the injured Michael Badgley and was kicker and punter for the first four games of the 2019 season for the Chargers.

“It’s not serious,” Saleh said of Zuerlein’s injury, “but serious enough to bring this game in question.”

Zuerlein made all three field goals in the Jets’ 22-16 victory over the Bills on Monday, as well as his lone extra point.

The 35-year-old, in his second season with the Jets, converted 81.1 percent of field goals and 96.6 percent of extra points in 2022.

When asked what kind of a curveball this has thrown at the Jets, given everything that already has unfolded since their regular season began, Saleh said it’s “more like a knuckleball.”

“Joe [Douglas] and the staff, they’re on it, to get all these kickers in for a workout to see which one would be best available come Sunday,” Saleh said. “But gotta roll with the punches.”

Offensive tackles Duane Brown (shoulder) and Mekhi Becton (knee), and running back Breece Hall (knee), were the other three names on the Jets’ final injury report with questionable designations.

They were full participants Friday.

Hall will still be on a snap count Sunday, according to Saleh, as the Jets continue to gradually increase his workload following the second-year running back’s ACL recovery.

Hall said Friday that he felt nervous and anxious before the opener against the Bills, and getting tackled for the first time marked a key hurdle to overcome en route to his 17 snaps.

After Rodgers’ injury, Hall approached Saleh in the third quarter and told him he could provide more to help despite being limited — though Saleh didn’t budge and replied, “Well, that’s why you’re on a pitch count.’ ”

“[The coaches have] been doing right by me,” Hall said. “The plays I’ve been getting, I’ve been making the most of what I could with them, so it’s been good. … [Offensive coordinator Nathaniel] Hackett, he’ll try to sneak a few extra plays in there for me, I’m sure, so we’ll see.”

Wide receiver Randall Cobb, who started his college career as a quarterback at Kentucky, will serve as the Jets’ emergency quarterback Sunday since they only have two on the roster.

They’ll have to elevate Tim Boyle from the practice squad to back up Zach Wilson.
