Football is back. The 2021 NFL season will officially kick off when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys face off on Thursday.

When will the Buccaneers and Cowboys play?

Tom Brady and the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers will host Dallas on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Prior to the game, “Football Night in America” will be broadcasted on NBC, starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Where can I watch the game?

The teams will face off live on NBC and will be streamed live on Peacock, the NBC Sports app and FuboTV.

What can I expect?

Tampa Bay is coming off a Super Bowl win during its first season with Brady. It will return all 22 of its starters, with only 10 new faces on its 53-man roster — six of them being draft picks.

Dallas made 28 moves to polish off its 53-man roster. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott is back for the first time since suffering a brutal ankle injury in October 2020. Cooper Rush is slated to be the Cowboys’ backup quarterback. He has not made a regular-season appearance for the Cowboys since 2017.

The Cowboys and Buccaneers have faced off 19 times. In the regular season, Dallas leads Tampa Bay 13-4. They have also swept postseason games, 2-0.
