The final day of NFL Preseason Week 1 is kicking off with the Miami Dolphins visiting the Chicago Bears.
The matchup comes just two days after Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel broke up a fight between Dolphins wide receiver Dee Eskridge and Bears safety Kevin Byard in a joint practice. It was one of three skirmishes to occur during the session.
At the time of publishing, McDaniel had yet to publicly confirm whether or not his starters would be taking the field in today’s game. On Friday, he told reporters that he hadn’t made the decision yet, but would like for the starters to get some snaps in.
Most of the Bears’ starters will not suit up in today’s game, so it’ll be up to players like rookie offensive lineman Ozzy Trapilo and Dominique Robinson, who is beginning his fourth season with the Bears and could earn a starting role this season.
