It’s been a long off-season, but the New York Giants are coming into the 2025 regular season with a new quarterback and a 3-0 preseason record.

The Giants will open their season against a divisional rival, the Washington Commanders.

This afternoon’s game will mark Russell Wilson’s 200th NFL start and his very first with the Giants. In two preseason starts, Wilson completed 10 of 14 for 136 yards, and threw a signature moon ball to Beaux Collins for an 80-yard gain.

As teams in the same division, today’s game marks the 187th all-time meeting between the Giants and the Commanders. Last season, the Giants went 0-2 against the Commanders, but nine of the past 11 games have been decided by one possession.
