The two-time NFC North champion Detroit Lions are kicking off the 2025 season against division rivals, the Green Bay Packers.
Last season, the Lions offense led the league in scoring offense with 33.2 points per game, but this year, they’ll be working through some changes on the sidelines with their former offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, leaving to coach the Chicago Bears. The Lions’ defensive coordinator, Aaron Glenn, also left the team for a head coaching position with the New York Jets.
The Packers were involved in a blockbuster trade last week that saw them send two draft picks to Dallas in exchange for linebacker Micah Parsons. Parsons has been working through a back injury that has been a nagging issue since before the trade. He’s currently listed as questionable but expected to play.
