The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t afraid to let it fly — regardless of what their coach says.
Bill Colarulo of 97.5 The Fanatic said Tuesday that he confirmed quarterback Jalen Hurts and star wideout AJ Brown “went rogue” during a controversial fourth-down play at the end of Monday’s 10-7 win over the Green Bay Packers.
“Right before I came on the air,” Colarulo said Tuesday, “I have been told by multiple reliable sources that AJ and Jalen went rogue — again.”
Colarulo added that he wasn’t sure what the play’s original intent was.
Fans were baffled when the defending Super Bowl champs — holding a three-point lead with 30 seconds to go — decided to go for it on fourth-and-6 on Green Bay’s 35-yard line.
They were left gobsmacked when Hurts aired it out to Brown downfield for a deep, deflating incompletion.

Carulo drew from the Eagles’ 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in December 2023, when the then third-year coach took responsibility for his team forcing deep balls to Brown and DeVonta Smith instead of taking what the defense gave them.

“AJ and Jalen went rogue — again,” Colarulo said, “and that is a problem.”

Hurts’ decision to target Brown downfield was an especially precarious choice, given the two have seemed out of sync for much of the season.
The last-minute heave was Brown’s third target of the game, in which he finished with just two receptions for 13 yards.
Following three consecutive seasons surpassing 1,000 receiving yards, Brown has logged just 31 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns in eight games this year.
