Michael who?

Jarvis Landry wants to clear his name over a report on Monday from Michael Silver of NFL Network that he and other Browns players yelled “Come get me” during the team’s 38-24 loss to the Cardinals, which he unequivocally denies happened.

“Michael, or whoever the source was, it’s all about clicks now,” he said. “Don’t try to slander my name. If you didn’t hear me say it directly, you shouldn’t have to be able to report about it.

“I would never say nothing like that. I think that the passion and the team I play for, they trust and know my heart and know that I’m in this and I would never look to another team during a game, especially that we’re losing and say ‘Come get me’ with a worse record than we have.”

Landry’s alleged pleas of discontent come just a week after it was reported by multiple sources that Odell Beckham Jr. had been telling opposing players and coaches to “come get me (out of Cleveland)” throughout the season. Beckham dismissed the reports and said, “I’m not going anywhere.”

Landry was arguing with beleaguered head coach Freddie Kitchens during Sunday’s game. The heated sideline exchange incited speculation on whether he was at odds with Kitchens.

“Everybody in this building has a common goal, and that’s to win,” Landry said. “Everybody wants to do their part. I think that’s the thing that kind of gets misled when you see a video [of the exchange with Kitchens].”

Both Kitchens and quarterback Baker Mayfield rebutted Silver’s claim.

“I got the report,” Kitchens said. “I haven’t seen [Landry doing] that, so I wouldn’t even care to [comment].”

“People want to talk and say a bunch of things, but they’re not here,” said Mayfield. “They don’t know. If they’re saying that, then they don’t know who Jarvis is. It is what it is. That’s just drama on the outside.”

Silver did not back down from his report on Wednesday.

“I stand by my report and the multiple sources behind it. Thanks!” Silver tweeted.

Landry, 27, leads the team in targets, receptions, yards and touchdowns. His career year was validated on Tuesday when it was announced he was selected for the Pro Bowl. But the team has failed to meet lofty preseason expectations. At 6-8, the Browns will be the only team in the league without a winning season this decade.

The Browns will try to stop the 12-2 Ravens from clinching home field advantage this Sunday.
