Jason Garrett and Josh McDaniels never stood a chance.

The Giants cancelled their final two head coach interviews Tuesday when they responded to losing Matt Rhule to the Panthers’ massive contract by reaching an agreement with Joe Judge to fill their vacancy.

Judge, who was the last of five candidates to interview, impressed Monday in East Rutherford.

McDaniels was scheduled to interview Wednesday, just like he did when the job was open in 2018. The Giants requested a head coach interview with Garrett, who was not retained by the Cowboys after 10 seasons in charge but remains under contract until Jan. 14.

The Giants did not request to interview Garrett as offensive coordinator, a source told The Post in contradiction to an earlier ESPN report. Judge will be allowed to pick his staff, which, according to Giants co-owner John Mara’s edict, must include a right-hand man to develop quarterback Daniel Jones.

Garrett, a former Giants backup quarterback, was Cowboys offensive coordinator from 2007-10 but has not called plays since he was stripped of the duty by owner/general manager Jerry Jones after the 2012 season.
