Jason Garrett won’t be the Giants’ next head coach, and despite multiple reports, won’t be on their sidelines, period.

After the Giants stunningly hired Joe Judge on Tuesday, it was reported Big Blue asked the Cowboys for permission to interview Garrett for their offensive coordinator opening.

As it turns out, the Giants actually requested permission from the Cowboys on Sunday — before the hiring of Judge — to speak with Garrrett for their head coaching vacancy, The Post confirmed.

The Giants interviewed Judge on Monday, and locked him up Tuesday morning.

Garrett was considered a fallback option for the Giants as the head coach if things deteriorated with their top candidate, Matt Rhule. On Tuesday, Rhule became the Panthers head coach, agreeing to a seven-year deal worth $60 million, with incentives potentially making it worth $70 million, per ESPN.

Garrett and the Cowboys parted ways last week.
