Jason Pierre-Paul’s car accident could him the entire season.

The Buccaneers defensive end is said to have “suffered a potential season-ending fractured neck injury” in the single-car crash last week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, citing league sources. Paul, 30, will visit neck specialists this week in hopes of salvaging a portion of the season.

Pierre-Paul was released from the hospital on Friday following the crash. The NFL star was not cited, according to TMZ.

“Our immediate concern is for the safety and well-being of Jason and his passenger. We have been in contact with Jason and will be getting him further evaluated by our medical staff in the near future,” Buccaneers GM Jason Licht said in a previous statement.

Pierre-Paul was traded to the Buccaneers from the New York Giants in March 2018. He accumulated 12.5 sacks and 16 tackles in 2018.
