It seems Jay Cutler is looking to get in on NFL media’s current game of musical chairs.
The former NFL quarterback, 38, wants to make the leap to broadcasting, according to Front Office Sports, telling the publication Wednesday he’d be interested in an opportunity with Amazon, Apple, or Fox Sports, among others – with the latter losing longtime commentator Troy Aikman to ESPN.
“I would love to do it. I think it’s a fun gig. It keeps you in the game,” Cutler said.

Cutler was lined up for a Fox gig in 2017 but opted to play one season with the Dolphins instead Icon SportswireA former first-round pick, Cutler played the first three seasons of his NFL career with the Broncos before being traded to the Bears in 2009. Although he was poised to take a Fox gig back in 2017, he opted to play one more season with the Dolphins for $10 million instead.
Although Cutler made the leap to the small screen in 2018, appearing in the E! reality series “Very Cavallari” with Kristin Cavallari — whom he announced his divorce from in April 2020 — he’d welcome the chance to get into the booth.
“If an opportunity arises, I would jump at it,” Cutler said, telling FSO that his team has “‘floated’ his name to Fox, Amazon, and others.”

Aikman, meanwhile, departed Fox for ESPN for a five-year deal in the $90 million range, according to The Post’s Andrew Marchand. In the wake of Aikman’s exit, it remains to be seen where other dominos — including Joe Buck and Erin Andrews — could fall.
