Don’t ask Jay Cutler for the intimate details of his proposal to now-wife Kristin Cavallari.
As the former Dolphins quarterback recalled in a preview of Thursday’s “Very Cavallari” episode, he “didn’t do it well,” and if given the chance for a do-over, he’d likely take it.
“If I could do it again, I’d do it again. It’s just nerve-wracking,” Cutler said. “You basically do (blackout). It’s just like, get this ring out of my face, I can’t hold this anymore.”
Kristin Cavallari and Jay CutlerGetty ImagesCutler, 36, and Cavallari, 33, got engaged in Cabo San Lucas in 2011. They tied the knot two years later and share three children: sons Camden, 7, and Jaxon, 5, and 4-year-old daughter Saylor.
Before popping the question, however, Cutler asked permission from Cavallari’s father Dennis, which he called “rough.”
“He said yes and it was fine but just the build-up — I don’t remember that either,” Cutler said.
Cutler, the breakout star of his wife’s reality series, could potentially switch gears to broadcasting, as he’s taken recent meetings with both ESPN and CBS, according to The Big Lead.
For now, he’s still sharing a network with the Kardashians.
