The Jets and free agent safety Marqui Christian appeared to have a deal last week, but that has now fallen apart.

The team and Christian failed to agree on final contract terms and the Jets have decided to move on, according to a source.

Christian and the Jets had initially agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal last Saturday, but they could not finalize the contract. Christian appeared in 55 games over the last four seasons for the Rams.

Christian was expected to be a third safety for the Jets behind Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye and play a significant role on special teams.
