The Jets entered the 2025 NFL Draft with another top-10 pick, and they played it safe.

For the second straight year, the team drafted an offensive lineman, adding Mizzou’s Armand Membou to top 2024 pick Olu Fashanu.

What makes this year different, however, is the regime behind the pick: new GM Darren Mougey and coach Aaron Glenn have already begun to put their stamp on the franchise, opting to move on from QB Aaron Rodgers and handing the offense to Justin Fields instead.

The first order of business was to solidify the protection in front of the new pass-thrower. On Day 2, the Jets drafted Mason Taylor, the son of Dolphins great Jason Taylor, in the second round and then selected cornerback Azareye’h Thomas in the third round.

On Saturdays Day 3, the Jets turned their five picks into four selections by trading up a couple of times to get players the wanted. With their first pick in the fourth round, they selected Georgia receiver Arian Smith.

Their final three picks went to the defensive end of the ledger. They traded up to draft Alabama defensive back Malachi Moore later in the fourth round and used two fifth round picks on linebacker Francisco Mauigoa (Miami) and his Hurricanes teammate, Tyler Barron (edge rusher).
