The Jets added a kicker Thursday, signing 23-year-old Derek Dimke, according to his agent Paul Sheehy.

Dimke kicked for the Lions in the preseason last year before getting cut. The Jets re-signed kicker Nick Folk last month. Folk made 21-of-27 field goals last year. Dimke will get a chance to compete with Folk in the spring workouts and training camp. Dimke kicked in college at Illinois.
