The Jets’ Aaron Rodgers era is finally underway.

In likely the most heavily-anticipated game in the team’s recent history, the Jets host the Bills at MetLife Stadium on the first “Monday Night Football” of the season.

Expectations haven’t been this high in decades, and it begins under the national spotlight in primetime.

The Jets have been under a microscope all offseason as the featured team of this year’s “Hard Knocks” series on HBO.

But how will the Jets react once it begins to count?

Follow along for all The Post’s updates and live coverage:

Aaron Rodgers’ injury has eerie Vinny Testaverde parallels in painful Jets moment

By Steve Serby

Vinny Testaverde was watching the start of the Aaron Rodgers Era up in a suite with Woody Johnson when the unthinkable happened to the Jets again.

Aaron Rodgers was down on the 30-yard line four plays into the start of the Aaron Rodgers Era holding his ankle and would be helped off the MetLife field, done for the night, and for no one knows how long.

“It brought back some bad memories,” Testaverde told The Post.

Jets’ Breece Hall looked like old explosive self in return from injury

By Zach Braziller

Breece the Beast is back.

No rust. No diminished speed. No limitations.

A question mark to even be active in Week 1 after suffering a torn right ACL last October, Hall was a major positive in the team’s 22-16 win over the AFC East rival Bills in overtime at MetLife Stadium on Monday.

Hall had 147 total yards, including an 83-yard run in his return from injury and a 26-yard dash on the offense’s first play from scrimmage.

He had burst.

He made defenders miss.

He looked like the player that was on his way to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year honors before that season-ending injury last Oct. 23.

Dalvin Cook not lowering expectations

By Jared Schwartz

Dalvin Cook is not lowering the Jets' expectations after Aaron Rodgers' injury.

"The league is better when Aaron Rodgers is on the field. It's bad that he went down so early, the people didn't get to see what we've been working on this whole time. It's just how the ball rolls sometimes."

Breece Hall gutted about Aaron Rodgers

By Jared Schwartz

Breece Hall enjoyed an incredible first game back since tearing his ACL last year, rushing for 127 yards on 10 carries.

But he was visibly emotional after the game about Aaron Rodgers' injury.

"It sucks, bro. I'm happy about the win, but I rather have that guy on the team so it just sucks"

Zach Wilson will be QB rest of the way

By Jared Schwartz

Robert Saleh confirmed that if Aaron Rodgers does indeed miss the rest of the season, Zach Wilson will be the starting quarterback the rest of the way.

That is, though, seemingly if the Jets do not now trade for a quarterback.

Jets rookie Xavier Gipson’s 65-yard punt return TD completes comeback win in OT

By Christian Arnold

In an insane season opener for the Jets, it was only fitting that it ended the way it did.

Rookie Xavier Gipson took a punt return 65 yards for a touchdown in overtime to complete the Jets’ 22-16 comeback win over the Bills at MetLife Stadium on Monday night.

Gang Green’s defense forced a three-and-out after Buffalo had won the coin toss in OT, setting up the dramatic finish.

Gipson caught the short punt at the Jets’ 35-yard line and then turned on the afterburners dodging two tackles en route to the game-winning score.
