Brian Poole has his ball back.
The Jets cornerback celebrated the return of the football from his first NFL touchdown on Sunday with a tweet on Tuesday.
“The Ball Has Been Recovered!” he wrote.
The 27-year-old returned an interception for six points during the Jets’ 34-3 dismantling of the Raiders, only to have a fan snatch it out of his hands. Poole then put out a call to track it down.
“Hey You Whoever You Are. I Have A Signed Jersey For You BUT I NEED THAT BALL BACK! #FindPoolePickSix” he tweeted on Monday.
In addition to an autographed jersey, sportsbook Bovada offered $100 in credit for the ball’s safe return. It is unknown who got the one-of-a-kind item back to Poole, nor if they collected their bounty.
