The Jets added a familiar name to the team on Wednesday, claiming linebacker Quincy Williams off waivers.

Quincy is the brother of Jets star Quinnen Williams. Quincy, 25, was cut by the Jaguars this week after two seasons with the team. The 2019 third-round pick out of Murray State started eight games over the two years in Jacksonville and had 59 tackles.

The only other waiver claim the Jets made was defensive end Tim Ward, who was cut by the Chiefs on Tuesday. Ward, 24, has only played in one game during his two-year NFL career. He started in Week 17 last year for Kansas City against the Chargers and recorded a sack. Ward was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Old Dominion in 2019.

Two players the Jets cut on Tuesday were claimed — cornerback Elijah Campbell by the Dolphins and center Corey Levin by the Titans.
