The Jets’ kicking competition is over.
Greg Zuerlein will be the Jets’ kicker with the team releasing Eddy Pineiro on Tuesday. The Jets signed the 34-year-old Zuerlein in March.
In Monday’s preseason win over the Falcons, Zuerlein made a 44-yard field goal and one extra point, while Pineiro went 2-for-2 on extra points and did not attempt a field goal.
