The Jets’ season has new life.

They enter their Week 6 matchup against the Eagles riding newfound optimism after an emotional win over the Broncos last week, and a tight loss to the reigning champion Chiefs the week before.

That optimism now faces a tall test in the reigning NFC champions, who are undefeated this season.

The Jets (2-3) will be without their top two cornerbacks in Sauce Gardner and D.J. Reed, both of whom are out with concussions.

It presents a daunting matchup against stud Eagles (5-0) receivers A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith.

Can the Jets enter their bye week with an upset?

Follow along below for all The Post’s updates.

What you need to know

Jets’ remarkable win vs. Eagles was for the fans who dared to believe

By Mike Vaccaro

You know who this was for?

This was for you, who has spent so many Sundays cursing at television screens, cursing traffic as you trudged home, maybe over a couple of bridges, on the way back from another horrific loss, cursing at football seasons that never quite seemed to make it to Halloween — and sometimes Columbus Day.

This was for you, who had to listen to maybe 35 percent of your home stadium overtaken by vile invaders from Philadelphia, who got a chance to shout all those cretins back to the Turnpike when the Jets pulled one of the most remarkable rabbits out of one of the most improbable hats.

Yes. This was for you, this 20-14 Jets victory over the Eagles, a win that knocked the Birds from the ranks of NFL unbeatens, a perch they enjoyed alone for about three hours after the 49ers were similarly humbled in Cleveland. This was for all the years of Same Old Jets, all the years when the biggest day of the year was the draft, all the years when the Jets all but dared you to renounce them forever.

Jets’ defensive masterpiece vs. Eagles backed up D.J. Reed’s ‘85 Bears claim

By Mark Cannizzaro

Defense.

This was the Jets’ only chance to win this game, to upset the Super Bowl runner-up Eagles on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

And it was precisely what stole this game, resuscitated the Jets’ season and sent them into their bye week at 3-3.

This was a defensive masterpiece. Perhaps the only shame was the fact that D.J. Reed, who earlier this season proclaimed that this Jets defense had a chance to rival what the ’85 Bears’ did decades ago, wasn’t in uniform for the game because he’s out with a concussion.

Reed was ridiculed by many for that comment, but what you witnessed on Sunday was an ’85-Bears effort on defense with four turnovers forced in a wild 20-14 comeback victory by the Jets.

Robert Saleh shouts out defense's dominance

By Jared Schwartz

Robert Saleh shouted out his defense, and took somewhat of a shot at opposing quarterbacks his unit has dominated:

"Through these first six weeks, we've playe a gauntlet of quarterbacks. I know we haven't gotten all wins, but we've embarrassed all of them."

Jets stun Eagles with late touchdown for improbable first-ever win vs. Philadelphia

By Jared Schwartz

There were questions about the Jets beat-up secondary entering Sunday’s game with the Eagles.

The Jets answered them in an emphatic way to score an unlikely 20-14 victory over Philadelphia.

Jets safety Tony Adams made a dramatic interception of Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts with less than two minutes to go in the game.

Adams picked it off on the Jets’ 47-yard line and returned it to the 8-yard line.

It was Hurts’ third interception of the game and Philadelphia’s fourth turnover.

Jets win!

By Jared Schwartz

The Jets win 20-14, the franchise's first-ever win against the Eagles.

The Jets advance to 3-3 heading into the bye week, while the Eagles suffered their first loss to fall to 5-1.

Jets take lead!

By Jared Schwartz

Breece Hall ran for an 8-yard touchdown, and the Jets take a 20-14 lead.

The Eagles were letting the Jets score, however, and Hall likely should have taken a knee, allowing the Jets to run more clock before scoring.

Randall Cobb then caught a 2-yard pass for the two-point conversion.
