But there is a sliver of a silver lining in Aaron Rodgers’ season-ending torn Achilles tendon: draft pick compensation.
When the Jets traded with the Packers for the four-time NFL MVP, the deal included the Jets sending a conditional 2024 draft pick to Green Bay.
If Rodgers plays 65 percent of the snaps this season, that conditional pick is a first-round selection.
Anything short of that and the Jets give the Packers a 2024 second-round pick.
Rodgers’ likely final snap count for 2023? Four.

Where that pick falls depends on how well Zach Wilson can do stepping in for Rodgers.
