The Post’s Brian Costello gives his prediction for who the Jets will take with their two picks in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft on Thursday night.
No. 2 overall: Zach Wilson, QB, BYU
This has been obvious for weeks now: Joe Douglas will take his shot at finding the Jets a franchise quarterback. Wilson has a great arm and had a standout season in 2020, though against weak competition. This pick changes the course of the franchise for the immediate future and, the Jets hope, longer.

There is a school of thought that the Jets should focus on getting Zach Wilson help on offense with this pick, but I don’t think they can force it. This draft will be top-heavy on offense, with quarterbacks and receivers going early. That will force some good defensive players down the board. Owusu-Koramoah is a great fit for Robert Saleh’s defense and can be a hybrid linebacker/safety for him.
