It has been 14 meetings since the Jets last defeated Bill Belichick and the Patriots.

Ryan Fitzpatrick was the quarterback on Dec. 27, 2015, and threw a touchdown to wideout Eric Decker to secure Gang Green’s overtime victory. Brandon Marshall led all wideouts with eight catches, 115 yards and two touchdowns, while Darrelle Revis picked off Tom Brady.

Plenty has changed across the past seven-plus seasons. The Jets were supposed to be the AFC East darlings this year, but Aaron Rodgers’ Achilles injury and Zach Wilson’s struggles have extinguished some of their preseason hype.

The Patriots’ dynasty has been in flux too, and they’re 0-2 for the first time since 2001 — when Brady took over at quarterback to spark their two decades of domination.

Will Sunday finally mark the statement win for Wilson the Jets have been longing for since drafting him No. 2 overall? Or will Belichick find another way to befuddle the Jets offense, allowing Patriots quarterback Mac Jones to prevail in the latest edition of the AFC East rivalry?

Follow along with The Post’s live updates and analysis.

Jets Week 3 report card: Offensive issues run deep

By Brian Costello

Grading the Jets’ 15-10 loss to the Patriots at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

Offense

Except for one drive, this group barely showed up. The Jets had a total of 171 yards — and 87 of those came on their one touchdown drive in the fourth quarter. QB Zach Wilson (18-of-36, 157 yards, 61.9 rating) was terrible for most of the game. The Jets could not run the ball, gaining just 38 yards on the ground. RB Breece Hall (12 rushes, 18 yards) and WR Garrett Wilson (5 catches, 48 yards) were non-factors.

Grade: F

Michael Carter brushes off sideline argument with Taylor Embree: 'I know better'

By Andrew Crane

Jets running back Michael Carter addressed his sideline argument with running backs coach Taylor Embree during the Jets’ loss Sunday, saying he has the “utmost respect” for Embree and said the pair have a strong relationship that goes “way past football.”

Carter didn't log a carry and totaled one reception for three yards in their 15-10 loss, which marked the 15th consecutive victory for the Patriots in the rivlary.

“It had nothing to do with anything outside of the game,” Carter told reporters. “It was 100 percent two competitors, we both want to win. And I think that a lot of people, they see it as drama, and I gotta control myself better. 100 percent. I’m 24 years old. I know better.”

Michael Carter talks about his relationship with Taylor Embree:

Robert Saleh says Zach Wilson will remain Jets starter after dreadful outing

By Christian Arnold

The losses are already starting to pile up for the Jets, but as of now, head coach Robert Saleh has no intention of taking the starting quarterback job away from Zach Wilson.

Saleh reaffirmed his commitment to the third-year quarterback after New York’s 15-10 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Wilson struggled for a majority of the game, outside of one fourth-quarter drive, and he failed to throw a single touchdown pass during the afternoon.

“Yeah, he’s fine,” Saleh said in response to a reporter’s question about Wilson remaining as the team’s starter.

Sauce Gardner accuses Mac Jones of hitting him in the 'private parts'

By Andrew Crane

Sauce Gardner hadn’t seen anything like that happened to him before.

When Mac Jones reached his hand up following a quarterback sneak in the second half, asking Gardner for help standing up, Gardner pushed his hand aside — and in return, he said postgame, Jones hit him in the “private parts" when they crossed paths after Jones got up.

“I didn’t react how I really wanted to,” Gardner said, “but that was just like the reaction that came after that. I definitely wasn’t expecting that. First time. There’s a first time for everything I guess.”

Jones downplayed the incident postgame and called it a physical sequence, but Gardner said he’s still “gotta ice up.”

“He’s trying to stop me from having kids in the future,” Gardner said.

Randall Cobb takes blame for Jets loss after dropped Hail Mary

By Andrew Crane

Randall Cobb didn't try to share any blame for the Jets' loss.

In an interview with SNY, Cobb took the blame for their 15-10 loss because of his dropped Hail Mary in the final seconds.

"We lost this game because I just dropped the Hail Mary,'" Cobb said. "I mean, that's point blank, period. I was just reiterating the message that it's on me, and I should've made that play for us to win the game. Regardless of what happened earlier in the game, what went our way, what didn't go our way, we still had an opportunity at the end of the game to win the game.

"I expect myself to make that play."

Robert Saleh sticks with Zach Wilson as starting quarterback

By Andrew Crane

Despite a miserable game for the offense, as the Patriots won their 15th consecutive game against the Jets, Robert Saleh made it clear that Zach Wilson would remain the Jets' starter.

Saleh said that he doesn't worry about losing the Jets' locker room because of that decision, according to SNY.

Jets offense sputters as Zach Wilson struggles in ugly loss to Patriots

By Brian Costello

The Patriots scored 15 points and that was all it took to make it 15 in a row against the Jets at Metlife Stadium on Sunday.

New England got just enough from its offense and dominated on defense to beat the Jets 15-10 on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

The win is the 15th consecutive victory for the Patriots over the Jets, a streak the Jets were hoping to end.

Jets coach Robert Saleh has to be wondering what life would be like had Aaron Rodgers not suffered a season-ending injury four plays into the season.

Final: Randall Cobb gets one hand on Zach Wilson's Hail Mary, but it bounces away as Jets fall to Patriots

By Andrew Crane

Randall Cobb had one hand on it. Zach Wilson’s Hail Mary pass bounced off one body, then off Garrett Wilson’s shoulder and after nearly four quarters of puzzling offense play, everything had bounced exactly where they needed.

Cobb couldn’t get a second hand on it, though. The ball bounced to the turf, and the Jets fell to the Patriots, 15-10, in a game that might be remembered as a turning point in their season — and in Wilson’s career.

It doesn’t mean the Jets will stick with the former No. 2 overall pick. He struggled for most of the game, and their offense was invisible until the final frame. But perhaps Wilson’s flashes on the touchdown drive that gave them a chance will simmer any tensions and frustrations moving forward.

Jets, Zach Wilson have 16 seconds for a game-winning touchdown

By Andrew Crane

Zach Wilson will get one more chance after all.

The Jets forced a three-and-out, and after using their final two timeouts, they'll have 16 seconds remaining.

Zach Wilson makes puzzling fourth-down decision as Jets loss looms

By Andrew Crane

Four plays later, the boos returned. Zach Wilson walked off the field. And the Jets’ chances of defeating the Patriots are all but over.

Wilson checked down to tight end Tyler Conklin on a fourth-and-10, and he was tackled well short of the first-down marker. The Jets still have two timeouts left to stop the clock, but that was likely their best chance for a game-winning touchdown.

Jets give Zach Wilson one more chance to win the game

By Andrew Crane

Once again, Zach Wilson will get a chance to win the game.

The Jets forced a punt from the Patriots with a key third-down stop out of the two-minute warning. Michael Carter II broke up a pass attempted for JuJu Smith-Schuster. They have two timeouts remaining, with the ball on their 45-yard line.

Matthew Judon drops Zach Wilson for a safety

By Andrew Crane

There wasn’t much that Zach Wilson could do this time, not with Matthew Judon tearing toward him in the end zone. He couldn’t get rid of the ball in time. Judon, along with a cluster of Patriots defenders, dragged Wilson down for a safety.

And a drive that started with a chance for the Jets to tie or take the lead ended with them staring down a five-point deficit — with New England now getting the ball back — with 2:15 left. It's not an impossible comeback for the Jets. They still have the two-minute warning, as well as all three timeouts to stop the clock.

But Judon just made it a more difficult task.
