The Jets signed first-round pick Quinton Coples on Thursday, the team announced.

The deal is a fully guaranteed, four-year contract with a fifth-year team option, according to a source. Financial terms were not immediately available, but the contract is expected to be worth around $9 million.

The Jets selected Coples with the 16th pick in last month’s NFL Draft. The defensive end from North Carolina is expected to start for the Jets.

Coples had 55 tackles, 7½ sacks and 15 tackles for a loss in his senior season for the Tar Heels.

The Jets signed safety Antonio Allen earlier Thursday to a four-year, $2.145 million contract, according to a source. Third-round pick Demario Davis and seventh-round pick Jordan White are the team’s remaining unsigned picks.
