Here are three takeaways, not related to Zach Wilson, from the Jets’ 23-14 preseason win over the Packers on Saturday night at Lambeau Field.

  1. After a rough couple of days against the Packers’ starting defense in joint practices, the Jets’ starting offensive line played well on Saturday. QB Zach Wilson was not sacked and there were some decent holes for the running game. The Jets now need to see that when they play a starting defense.
  2. It has been a quiet camp for the tight ends, but they showed up big on Saturday. Tyler Kroft scored two touchdowns, both 18-yard throws from Wilson. Trevon Wesco, who saw a lot of time at fullback, had a catch for 17 yards.
  3. The Jets’ pass rush was non-existent. The starting defense had no sacks, despite facing a backup offensive line and third-string quarterback Kurt Benkert. The loss of Carl Lawson is going to be huge for this defense, but they need others to pick it up.
