The Jets swung two trade-down deals on Day 3 of the NFL draft to add an additional pick in the fifth round.

The Jets traded down 11 spots out of the third pick in the fourth round with New Orleans and then dealt that pick and the fifth-rounder they acquired from the Saints to Titans, eventually taking tight end Trevon Wesco out of West Virginia with the 121st overall selection. Gang Green also netted the Titans’ fifth-round pick (157 overall) in the two deals, giving them three picks on Saturday.

Arizona drafted 6-foot-5 Iowa State wide receiver Hakeem Butler with the first pick of the fourth round, and Cincinnati jumped the Jets’ original spot and took N.C. State quarterback Ryan Finley.  New Orleans took safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson of Florida in the Jets’ slot .Tennessee used the 116th pick to take Iowa defensive back Amani Hooker

The 6-foot-4 Wesco is considered more of a blocking tight end; he totaled 26 catches for 366 yards and one touchdown last season for the Mountaineers to earn first-team Big-12 honors.
