Grading the Jets’ 13-10 overtime win over the Giants on Sunday.

It was an ugly day for the Jets’ offense (251 total yards). The unit went 2-for-15 on third down and did not convert a third down until late in the fourth quarter. QB Zach Wilson (17 of 36, 240 yards, 1 TD, 78.5 rating, 2 fumbles, 4 rushes, 25 yards) was ineffective for most of the day but found a way to drive the Jets down the field with 24 seconds to go to set up the game-tying field goal.

RB Breece Hall did not do much on the ground (12 rushes, 17 yards) but had a 50-yard receiving touchdown. WR Garrett Wilson (7 catches, 100 yards) had some big catches.

Grade: D

The only reason the Jets were in this game was because the defense came up with stop after stop. The Giants managed just 194 total yards and a (minus) 9 yards passing, which is a Jets’ franchise defensive record. The Jets held the Giants to a 2-for-19 day on third down also. The negative was the touchdown drive the Jets allowed to start the second half, which was aided by some dumb Jets penalties. Giants RB Saquon Barkley (36 rushes, 128 yards) had success in the second half.

Grade: B

Give punter Thomas Morstead the game ball. He punted 11 times and pinned the Giants inside the 20 four times. Kicker Greg Zuerlein continues to be reliable, nailing both of his field-goal attempts, one to tie the game as time expired in the fourth quarter and one to win the game in overtime. Micheal Clemons jumping offsides on a Giants punt could have been costly.

Grade: B

The Jets got outcoached for most of the day by Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. But the Jets found a way to win in the end. Robert Saleh’s team continues to find ways to win and you have to give him credit. Defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich was relentless and the Giants were flailing for most of the game. Nathaniel Hackett has to find a way to convert on third down. He had no answers for the Giants’ defense for 59 minutes on Sunday.
