Rookie Jets quarterback Brady Cook tossed his first touchdown Sunday against the Jaguars in his first start.

At a first-and-goal on Jacksonville’s 9-yard line, Cook found wide receiver Adonai Mitchell in the end zone to put the Jets on the board, 14-7.

He was 6-for-6 for 51 yards.

To make it even sweeter for Cook, his parents were in the crowd at EverBank Stadium in Jacksonville, where they watched their son throw the first touchdown pass of his career.

The couple made an appearance on the broadcast, jumping up and down in the stands before happily embracing.

Seemingly, other friends or family came up to the parents to congratulate them after the touchdown.

Cook, an undrafted free agent out of Missouri, was named the Jets’ starting quarterback this week after starter Tyrod Taylor injured his groin.

He also made a cameo last week in the Jets’ 34-10 loss to the Dolphins after Taylor exited the game. Cook went on to complete 14-of-30 passes for 163 yards and a pair of interceptions.

“I think he was comfortable even last week going into the game — just a tough situation with him not getting the chance to get all the reps,” Glenn said Friday of Cook. “I have all the confidence in the world. That’s something I’ve stated from the very beginning. He’ll be a good player in this league, and he has his opportunity again this week.”

The Jets (3-10) trailed the Jaguars (9-4) in the third quarter and ultimately lost, 48-10.
