The Jets made a third first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft Thursday night after trading up with the 49ers.

After dealing pick Nos. 33 and 179 for pick No. 30, the Jets took Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr., whom some thought they could take at No. 16.

This came after the Jets took edge rusher David Bailey at No. 2 overall and tight end Kenyon Sadiq at No. 16.

The Sadiq pick was somewhat of a surprise, despite his high upside, as many thought the Jets would take a receiver.

But they still got one at No. 30, adding two potential big weapons in the first round.

During Indiana’s stunning national championship season, Cooper Jr. had 69 catches for 937 yards and 13 touchdowns in 16 games.
