Text with Brian Costello all season as he brings Sports+ subscribers the latest Jets intel from on the field and off.

tRY IT NOW

The hero, zero and full blitz from the Jets’ 13-11 loss to the Broncos in London on Sunday:

Hero

Broncos edge Jonathon Cooper had two sacks in the game and split the last sack that ended any hope for the Jets. The Broncos pass rush was relentless all day.

Zero

Jets quarterback Justin Fields was abysmal.

He was 9-of-17 passing for 45 yards and was sacked nine times, many of them on him for not getting the ball out quickly. The Jets looked scared to let him throw the ball for long periods of the game.

Unsung Hero

Broncos safety Talanoa Hufanga made a huge play on third down on the next to last Jets play.

It looked like Garrett Wilson was going to catch the ball on the sideline and move the Jets into field goal territory, but Hufanga knocked the ball out of Wilson’s hands.

Key Stat

Minus-10 Net passing yards for the Jets, the fewest in franchise history and the fewest in the NFL since the Bears had minus-20 against the Lions in 1981.

Quote of the Day

“I just didn’t know exactly what the plan was. Once I figured it out, I was disappointed. I will just say that,”

— Garrett Wilson on his frustration with the Jets allowing the clock to run out at the end of the first half
