The San Francisco 49ers continue to be ravaged by injuries to their biggest stars.
With defensive end Nick Bosa already out for the season with a torn ACL, the defending NFC champions learned Monday they will be without starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo for at least the next several weeks and Pro Bowl tight end George Kittle for the remainder of the regular season, according to multiple reports.
Garoppolo suffered a high-ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s loss to Seattle. He is expected to miss “a minimum of six weeks,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and is a candidate for injured reserve. Garoppolo could be out even longer if he needs to undergo surgery, Schefter said.
Kittle also left the Seahawks loss in the final quarter, and he’s slated to miss eight weeks with a broken bone in his foot, Schefter reported.

Running back Tevin Coleman also left Sunday’s game with a knee injury, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel didn’t play due to a hamstring issue.
Defensive lineman Solomon Thomas is out for the season with a torn ACL. Cornerback Richard Sherman hasn’t played since Week 1 because of a calf injury. Defensive lineman Dee Ford has also just played one game because of a bac injury. Running backs Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson are each out with ankle injuries.
