Jimmy Garoppolo is free to go out with any porn star he pleases, says fellow quarterback Johnny Manziel.

Discussing last week’s infamous dinner date between the 49ers starter and adult film actress Kiara Mia, the Montreal Alouettes’ newest acquisition defended his fellow 2014 draft-class mate Thursday on his Barstool Sports podcast, “ComebackSZN.”

“What’s wrong with it? All these soft NFL reporters, saying, ‘Oh man, he’s going on a date with a — dude, let the guy live his life! So what, what she does for a living,” Manziel said. “If anything, that’s going to make him play better on a Sunday or a Monday.”

While some athletes — namely Justin Verlander — adhere to the “no sex on game day” rule, Manziel also noted it’s Garoppolo’s performance on the field that matters most.

“He’s backing it up on the field, he hasn’t lost a game. Nothing. Guy’s doing everything … and he’s enjoying life. So be it,” Manziel said.

Garoppolo, 26, won all five games as a starter in the Bay Area last year, later earning a five-year, $137.5 million contract. He called his outing with Mia, 41, a “learning experience.”

“Life is different now,” Garoppolo told reporters, per SF Gate. “My life off the field, I’ve never really been big on being very public with things. Even social media, I’m not out there a ton. My life’s looked at differently. I’m under a microscope.”
