The Atlanta Falcons game will indeed take place Sunday, but they won’t have Julio Jones for it.
The 31-year-old wide receiver was ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Bears because of a hamstring injury. Jones has 11 catches and 181 yards through two games, including a nine-catch, 157-yard performance in Week 1. Jones was considered questionable entering Sunday.
While Jones’ absence is a blow to the Falcons’ high-octane offense, Matt Ryan still has Todd Gurley, Calvin Ridley, Russell Gage and Hayden Hurst at his disposal.
The Falcons-Bears game in Atlanta will take place after all other Falcons players and coaches tested negative for COVID-19 following cornerback A.J. Terrell’s positive test result Saturday morning.
