Justin Tuck will spend one more day as a Giant before retiring.

Tuck announced Thursday he will sign a one-day contract with the Giants before ending his career. Tuck made the announcement on Big Blue Kickoff Live, the webcast on the Giants’ website.

League rules prohibit Tuck and the Giants from signing anything until the new league year, which begins March 9.

Tuck spent the past two seasons with the Raiders, but will be remembered for his nine-year run with the Giants. He was a key piece of two Super Bowl champions, recording four sacks total in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI. Tuck had 60 ½ sacks as a Giant and 66 total in his career.
