The Jets will be without tight end Dustin Keller for the third straight week.
Keller is inactive for Sunday’s game with the 49ers. Jets coach Rex Ryan said this week he thought Keller would play after missing the last two weeks with a hamstring injury. But the Jets did not make a decision on Keller until Sunday morning after watching him work out at MetLife Stadium.
The Jets offense will also be missing rookie wide receiver Stephen Hill, who also has a hamstring injury. Chaz Schilens will start in place of Hill. Jeff Cumberland will start at tight end.
The other inactives for the Jets: CB Darrelle Revis, QB Greg McElroy, RB Jonathan Grimes, OL Caleb Schlauderaff and DL Damon Harrison.
