A list on quarterback tiers has created a controversy.
Kelly Stafford has spoken out with incredulity that her husband, Super Bowl-winning quarterback Matt Stafford, was put on the second tier of QBs in a list by Mike Sando at The Athletic.
Seeing that Colin Cowherd discussed her husband’s snub, Kelly Stafford reacted on Instagram.
“Love how it still surprises me the amount of disrespect Matthew gets,” she wrote. “Ya I’m bias[ed], but so is everyone who created these ‘lists’. What a joke.”
She continued to harp on the Rams quarterback’s under-appreciation from the press.
“Find myself hoping one day he will get the credit he deserves, but I guess I’ll stop holding my breath for that,” she continued.

Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes were on Sando’s top tier. Russell Wilson, Dak Prescott, Matt Ryan, Derek Carr, Kyler Murray and Lamar Jackson were alongside Stafford on Tier 2.
Stafford was the highest-ranked on the second tier. Where he and Kelly would have the fairest bone to pick would be with Herbert. While his physical gifts have wowed, the Chargers are 15-17 in games he’s started and he has not yet reached the postseason.
Kelly Stafford concluded on Instagram with another point about how his accomplishments have been diminished.
“Remember: he didn’t get voted into the Pro Bowl,” she wrote, with a laughing emoji. “But f–k it.. I always love the underdog.”
