Former Oregon tight end Kenyon Sadiq celebrated with his family and girlfriend, Addison Osta, as the Jets selected him with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft Thursday night.

Osta shared an Instagram Story snapshot of Sadiq standing in his living room while sporting a Gang Green hat.

“My baby is a Jet!!!!!!!” she wrote.

Sadiq sounded emotional when Jets general manager Darren Mougey called to tell him they’re bringing in the tight end in to bolster their offense — adding that he believed he was being prank called.

“You’re gonna come here and be a weapon for us, alright?” Mougey said before handing the phone to head coach Aaron Glenn.

“Listen, we’re gonna bring you up here and you’re gonna be a huge weapon for us,” Glenn said.

“I was thinking this was going to be a prank call for a second but, no, I appreciate it,” Sadiq said, laughing.

“Trust me on that, you’ve been a target for us for a while,” Glenn added.

Jets owner Woody Johnson was ecstatic as he told Sadiq that offensive coordinator Frank Reich was jumping up and down over the selection.

“I can’t even breathe right now I’m so happy,” Reich said, adding that “this is going to be the best move” for both sides.

Sadiq had 51 catches for 560 yards and eight touchdowns for the Ducks last season and was a second-team All-American.

The 6-foot-3, 241-pounder ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

The Jets had themselves a night during round one of the draft, taking place in Pittsburgh.

Gang Green selected former Texas Tech edge David Bailey with the No. 2 overall pick and then traded back into the first round to take Indiana wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. at No. 30.

The second and third rounds of the NFL draft are set for Friday, and rounds four through seven will happen Saturday.
