Kyler Murray will be showing his stuff at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
The speedy quarterback is listed on the NFL’s official combine attendees list and will be one of the top QB prospects in the draft after a junior season at Oklahoma that saw him take home the Heisman Trophy in addition to being an Associated Press All-American and Player of the Year, Davey O’Brien Award winner, Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and finalist for the Maxwell Award.
Murray, 21, was a first-round pick of the Athletics in the 2018 baseball draft and is under contract with Oakland, who awaits his next move.
At 5-10, Murray is considered severely undersized for a quarterback, though he’s a high-level talent with an impressive arm and foot speed to match. Despite the obvious knocks on him, Murray has plenty of interest.
He is yet to decide on football or baseball for his career, telling the NFL Network at the Super Bowl that he would make a decision, “Soon. Very soon.”
“Right now, I’m just working out,” he said. “For me, I’m just taking it one day at a time, that’s what I’m doing right now.”
