The Baltimore Ravens intend to keep Lamar Jackson, but they could be swayed to trade the former MVP with a Godfather offer, according to a report from NFL Network.
If no long-term deal is reached, the Ravens would consider trading the 26-year-old quarterback for a “windfall of draft picks,” Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported on Saturday.
Jackson reportedly didn’t accept a $133 million guaranteed contract at the beginning of the 2022 season.
In September, ESPN reported that Jackson passed on a five-year extension that would’ve paid him more than star quarterbacks such as Kyler Murray and Russell Wilson.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh was optimistic about Jackson’s return last month, saying he was “200 percent” sure the two sides would agree to a long-term deal.
