In February, a Jets fan offered Le’Veon Bell $60 million to come to New York, but at the time, the free-agent running back replied and said that wouldn’t be enough.
“🙄 that ain’t enough to come run with the Jets…”
Bet Bell wishes he had that deal now.
Early Wednesday it was reported that the free-agent running back agreed to a four-year, $52.5 million deal, with $35 million guaranteed.
When Bell turned down that fan, it prompted this reply from Jets safety Jamal Adams:
“Woah big dawg. Show some luv. We will be the talk of the league this coming year. How much you need? Let me run to the bank. I gotcha my boy. Haha”
But that didn’t stop Adams from still trying to recruit him, so it’s likely the Jets’ defensive leader is glad he’s coming to New York.
