Le’Veon Bell has a message for fantasy football owners.
Bell took to Twitter Monday to apologize to all those who drafted him last year, only for Bell to sit out the entire season while in a contract dispute with the Steelers. But he’s looking to make amends.
“This is loooong overdue!!” Bell tweeted. “But I want to take a moment to apologize to all the fantasy owners who picked me last year, I’m sorry I couldn’t pull through for y’all…but trust me, this year’s about to be wayyyy different, I’m bringing (trophies) the this year.”
Bell was a popular early pick in fantasy last season after a 2017 season in which he had 1,291 yards rushing, 85 catches for 655 yards receiving and 11 total touchdowns.
The 27-year-old running back took a huge gamble on his future when he decided to sit out the entire 2018 season, and fantasy owners took a gamble by drafting him last year.
Bell ended up signing with the Jets on a four-year $52.5 million contract.
