Mac Jones’ F-bomb was heard loud and clear in an ugly win against the Cardinals on “Monday Night Football.”

During the third quarter, while trailing Arizona 13-10, ESPN cameras caught the Patriots quarterback screaming the curse word after a timeout to avoid a delay of game penalty.

Jones appeared to aim his frustration in the direction of Matt Patricia, who is in his first season as New England’s de facto offensive coordinator (though he is listed as a senior football advisor and offensive line coach, he still calls plays). The quarterback was seen angered on a number of occasions throughout the game as the team’s offensive struggles carried into Week 14.

Jones was 24-of-35 for 235 yards and an interception in the 27-13 win. The Patriots lost their top two wideouts, Jakobi Meyers and DeVante Parker, as well as running back Rhamondre Stevenson to injuries in the game.

After the game, the 24-year-old complimented Patricia’s play-calling when asked about whether he’s frustrated by the offense.

“No. The biggest thing is not letting it affect my play and bringing the best out of my guys,” Jones said. “Today, thought we all did a good job trying to play the next play, play the next series and Matt did a great job. He’s trying to call the game so that we can win.

“Sometimes, it might be this thing that people don’t know about, like the quick passes for whatever reason and that’s our game plan. We knew what we had to do to win and he called a great game and stayed calm. He’s a calm person, very stoic. We’re just going to continue to grow together and do what we can to win games.”

Things seemed to simmer down after the game, when Jones and Patricia were seen smiling and hugging on the sidelines.

Jones’ comments came after he was visibly frustrated during a Week 13 loss to the Bills, appearing to yell “throw the f–king ball” while on the sidelines. The quarterback later told ESPN reporter Lisa Salters that he has “no problem with Matty P,” and that the two talk everyday.

The Patriots have scored only six offensive touchdowns since Week 9, and are tied for the fewest in the NFL. They are 19th in the league in points scored per game and 24th in yards.

Monday’s win pushed New England into an AFC playoff spot, sitting as the No. 7 seed above the Chargers and Jets.

The Patriots will spend the week in Arizona practicing before heading to Las Vegas to face the Raiders on Sunday.

Jones opened the press conference Monday by extending prayers to Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach, who died at 61 following complications from a heart condition, the school announced on Tuesday. Jones, who starred at Alabama, said Leach offered him a scholarship.
