City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito blitzed the New York Giants and the NFL Tuesday for imposing just a one-game suspension on kicker Josh Brown for alleged domestic violence.

“A 6 game suspension is the baseline punishment in the NFL for DV [domestic violence], but @Giants going easy on Josh Brown w/only 1 game,” Mark Viverito tweeted with the added hashtag “#not a fan.”

“Josh Brown case shows@NFL can’t get discipline right,” she added.

Mark-Viverito complained that Brown played the entire 2015 season “despite accusations of repeated domestic violence.”

Molly Brown, now divorced from the player, claimed her ex-husband had abused her on more than 20 occasions going back to 2009.

Brown was arrested but the charges were dropped. He will be suspended for the first game of the season.

It’s not the first time the council speaker has called out New York sports teams for going soft on domestic violence.

She slammed the Yanks for acquiring Aroldis Chapman, who had been suspended for domestic abuse, and the Mets, who welcomed back José Reyes after a similar suspension .

The speaker said she believes in second chances, but not for domestic abusers.
