It was an encouraging sight for the Steelers.
Mason Rudolph, who was knocked out of Sunday’s 26-23 loss to the Baltimore Ravens with a concussion, was seen in the Pittsburgh locker room Monday and “looked good,” according to The Athletic.
While just seeing Rudolph at team facilities could help allay his teammates’ fears, the 24-year-old remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol and is not available to speak to media.
The Steelers’ second-year quarterback, thrust into the starting role after Ben Roethlisberger’s season ended due to an elbow injury, sustained a hit to the chin by Ravens’ safety Earl Thomas and fell to the ground in an unconscious heap. Players on both sides were scared by the scene.
“I didn’t intentionally try to hurt him,” Thomas said. “I’m worried about him. I heard he’s at the hospital. My prayers go out to him and his family. I’ve never tried to hurt anybody. At the end of the day, guys have families.”
