Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan will have two new fans to cheer him on with wife Sarah next season.
On Tuesday, the couple of six years announced they are expecting twins in April.
“It’s been a long road, but Matt and I couldn’t be happier to announce that we are expecting twins!” Sarah shared on Instagram. “We are anxiously awaiting their arrival in April. There’s just something about the number 2 in our house, I guess.”
The 32-year-old quarterback and reigning MVP, who wed Sarah in 2011, has worn No. 2 for Atlanta since being selected third overall by the Falcons in the 2008 draft. And while he has a few months to prepare for diaper duty, longtime friend and Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford can certainly offer advice in that department.
Stafford, 29, and wife Kelly welcomed twin daughters this past spring.
