The Rams may not have won Sunday, but the Stafford family is hoping their alma mater can pull off a victory on Monday night.
Ahead of the national championship game between Georgia and Alabama, Kelly Stafford, a former Bulldogs cheerleader, shared a throwback photo on Instagram with her future husband, Matthew Stafford, during their college days at Georgia.

LFG!! #godawgs,” Kelly captioned the post, which also featured the couple’s daughters dressed as Georgia cheerleaders.
Stafford made his debut for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2006 and played for three seasons. He left school early to enter the 2009 NFL Draft, when he was selected first overall by the Lions.

Over the weekend, Stafford and the Rams clinched the NFC West title despite a thrilling 27-24 loss to the 49ers. Stafford, who was traded to Los Angeles last January, had three touchdowns and two interceptions in the game.

As for Monday night’s highly anticipated matchup between No. 1 Alabama and No. 3 Georgia, kickoff is at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
