ORCHARD PARK — Jets left tackle Mekhi Becton entered this season with plenty of durability questions.

He has answered those by being able to start every game this season.

Now, that streak may be in jeopardy.

Becton exited Sunday’s game against the Bills with an ankle injury and had to be taken to the locker room on a cart after walking to the sideline under his own power.

Becton was declared out in the second quarter and was seen leaving the locker room wearing a walking boot.

Jets coach Robert Saleh said the team would run more tests on Becton’s ankle on Monday.

The injury to Becton was the latest blow to the offensive line, which started its seventh different combination on Sunday.

Xavier Newman was not brought up from the practice squad because of an injury.

That meant Chris Glaser made his first career start, appearing at right guard.

The Jets have had six different starting lineups in as many games.

Rookie Carter Warren replaced Becton, meaning the Jets had four backups playing with Glaser and Warren both seeing their first extended playing time.

“Credit to them, I thought they came in and battled,” Saleh said. “They’re here because they can play. We’ve got to line up. We’ve got to find ways to generate a scheme that protects them, but also gives them a chance to be successful. It’s an exciting opportunity for them.”

CB Sauce Gardner was covering Bills WR Khalil Shakir when he went 81 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to ice the game, but Gardner hinted that he should have had help on the play.

“It was a busted coverage,” Gardner said. “I could have still made the play, though. That wasn’t technically my responsibility but I still had a chance to make a play and that could have been a game-changing play. I should have had zero yards allowed.”

WR Garrett Wilson fumbled at the start of the fourth quarter, his second fumble in three weeks.

“I was trying to make a move on the linebacker with not good ball security. That’s what happens,” Wilson said. “This season, I’m getting exposed for it and I have to fix it. So, I will.”

Nickel CB Michael Carter II did not play after tweaking his hamstring in practice on Friday. Carter was added to the injury report on Saturday and was listed as questionable. He went through a pregame workout but was ruled out.

Offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett moved to the booth to call this game after calling the first nine games of the season from the sideline.

QB Aaron Rodgers has attended most of the Jets’ games but was not in Orchard Park on Sunday.

The Jets’ inactives were: Carter, WR Randall Cobb, OL Billy Turner, OL Austin Deculus, LB Chazz Surratt, LB Sam Eguavoen and DE Carl Lawson.
